The Senior Compensation Analyst works closely with the Managing Director of Strategy to help define and refine our client’s compensation strategy. He/she also manages the execution of that strategy.

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for the compensation quote, research, and annual review processes, prioritizes compensation areas of risk and opportunity, and initiates all relevant discussions with key leaders, in collaboration with the Managing Director of Strategy. This person must operate with a high degree of integrity and maturity given their work with highly sensitive and confidential information. A successful candidate will have a focus on delivering accurate and actionable analytical tools, a customer service orientation, and a flexible, entrepreneurial approach to solving problems.

The Senior Compensation Analyst will report to the Managing Director of Strategy and will interface directly with senior leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and continually improving a salary quote process that ensures alignment between our compensation philosophy and practices
  • Collaborating with the Managing Director of Strategy and Our client’s senior leadership to periodically refine our compensation strategy and practices
  • Engaging with hiring managers and Human Assets business partners on all direct compensation-related issues
  • Interpreting and synthesizing data from multiple market sources to recommend compensation scales
  • Managing the annual compensation review process in partnership with the Managing Director of Strategy
  • Potentially participating in other Human Assets strategy and analysis projects (e.g. retention, performance management, talent recruitment, leadership development initiatives, etc.)
  • May manage one or more junior team members
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior HR experience not required
  • Desirable, but not required: MBA, management consulting experience, and/or compensation analysis experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience preferred
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Passion for solving problems and data analysis
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and build consensus
  • Operates with integrity, maturity, and confidence
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, responsibility, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
