Vice President of Marketing

The company is financed by industry veterans including C-level executives from American Express and Citigroup, as well as world leading venture capitalists who have backed companies including Facebook and Google. The company is revolutionizing the $270 billion small business financing market and changing how small businesses grow. They have streamlined a process that is historically cumbersome and expensive for millions of businesses and potential lenders. They are poised to change small business financing in a similar way to how credit cards and home equity lines of credit created new multi-billion dollar categories. ABOUT THE POSITION:
The VP Marketing position is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented manager with strong marketing and new product development background. This position focuses on customer acquisition with a mix of online and offline acquisition success that contribute directly to our client’s corporate objectives. The VP Marketing will be responsible for the traditional functions of day-to-day marketing activities including business strategy development, marketing strategy and execution. The focus of this role is to: • Develop business and marketing strategies to develop new revenue streams for the company. • Identify prospects, reinforce the company’s value proposition and selling approach, and manage business development efforts. • Drive brand and market positioning through multiple communications vehicles. • Deliver targeted marketing campaigns and consistently reach marketing and web targets. • Develop a consistent branding for all direct mail efforts. • Institute rigorous marketing processes and increase campaigns executed to help improve response rates. • Improve prospective and existing customer relationships through aggressive marketing campaigns. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 10 years of strategic marketing, PR and brand management experience. • Background in financial services (ideally from top small business card issuer), co-brand partner or start-up. • B-to-C and B-to-B experiences. • Expertise in business and marketing strategy, and execution. • A doer: able to identify and obtain leads immediately. • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform market and competitive analysis to define the company’s strategy and understand how to market its vision & goals • Ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change and handle shifting priorities. • Superior self-motivation, leadership, integrity and interpersonal skills required. • Team player willing to help build the department. • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing; MBA or MA degree with Marketing preferred.
