Our client is one of nation’s leading academic hospitals. Located in the heart of Boston’s medical center, it focuses on the highest quality patient care and service, teaches the next generation of caregivers, and leads cutting-edge research.

Our client is seeking experienced consultants with knowledge of the healthcare sector (payor or provider side) to work on a freelance basis on a range of strategic and operational projects.

The projects range from determining whether to expand a department and creating the road map for implementation to redesigning hospital admission processes in response to new Medicare requirements to analyzing the impact of and preparing for a potential joint venture. Projects range from two to twelve months depending on the assignment and there is an opportunity to work full or part time and to work remotely.

• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Strategic or operational consulting experience or comparable industry experience
• Knowledge of the healthcare sector (payor or provider side)
• Top-tier educational background
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Exceptional project management skills
• Excellent written and communications skills
• Ability to navigate complex organizational structure and build consensus among numerous parties
• Ability to foster productive relationships and work in a highly political environment
• Ability to work independently, with limited direction

• Projects can be full time or part-time, with the potential for partial telecommuting. Project vary in length from 2 to 12 months
