ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Our client is a Manhattan-based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic independence for women through the provision of resources and support to women entrepreneurs. Their mission is to catalyze the growth of post-start-up, women-owned businesses into sustainable enterprises. Over the past nine years, they have developed and delivered comprehensive programs that combine financial support, education, marketing assistance, mentoring and technology tools designed to help women business owners develop their businesses into viable organizations capable of generating a $1M or more in annual revenue.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This is an excellent opportunity for a mission-driven individual who is energized by the idea of helping a small, visionary organization expand its reach and impact. The ideal candidate will be passionate about adult education and professional development. He or she will have a demonstrated commitment to women’s issues and/or a strong interest in economic empowerment as a lever of social change. He or she will be decisive, practical and prone to taking action, with an ability to inspire and motivate others to do the same.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain networks with entrepreneurs.
  • Manage all alumni relations and events.
  • Utilize website materials to keep target community connected while encouraging mutual mentorship.
  • Capture data and statistics to create a good story that will produce compelling marketing collateral for the organization
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong alumni relations and community building skills
  • Ability to think strategically with respect to networking and outreach
  • Superior analytical skills, with an ability to articulate problems clearly and create structured approaches to problem-solving
  • Superior project and work management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellence managing teams in a small, informal environment
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, with 5-7 years experiences in the for-profit, not-for-profit or public sector
  • Experience in education a plus
