In operation since 1998, New Profit provides multi-year financial and strategic support to social entrepreneurs working in education, workforce development, health care, and other areas. The organization is based on Cambridge, Massachusetts and is supported by individual investors and by its signature partner, Monitor Group, a leading global strategy consulting firm. ABOUT THE POSITION:
New Profit is seeking a passionate, proactive professional to lead its Urban Assets Initiative. The Director will serve as the lead interface between pilot efforts unfolding at the local level in cities, national and local champions, funders, and thought partners. This is a new position for the organization, and the individual will work with the organization’s senior team to build out the program. The Director will manage the Initiative’s budget and, ultimately, junior staff. Fundraising responsibilities will also be involved. This is an excellent opportunity for a mission-driven individual who is energized by the idea of helping a visionary organization expand its reach and impact. The ideal candidate is adept at building and activating a community, forging relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying and responding to opportunities.
