ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Learning & Development Team on Human Assets aims to ensure that all staff members learn and grow in their roles and throughout their careers such that they maximize their collective impact on our organization’s mission. The managing director, learning & development will manage a team of four staff members on the operational wing of the team. The managing director, learning & development will also partner with another managing director, learning & development on the team to provide targeted learning & development support to staff members in our organization’s regional operation’s team, spanning 29 regional sites and over 400 employees. This position will report directly to the vice president, learning & development.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the vice president of learning and development and other team members on effective delivery of learning and development offerings
  • Provide customized learning & development support to the organization’s regional operations team in conjunction with another Managing Director, Learning & Development team member
  • Manage a four-person team around the effective execution of centralized learning & development offerings, including the Onboarding Program, Individual Development Plans, and Manager Development Program
  • Implement design and delivery enhancements to ongoing offerings in collaboration with the team’s design wing
  • Develop a culture of excellence that places a premium on effectiveness and efficiency
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in relevant field preferred
  • Minimum of five to ten years of professional work experience required
  • Proven record of success in a role managing others to achieve ambitious goals
  • Experience in project-management or operations role preferred
  • Experience delivering high-impact professional development experiences to adult learners desired
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with a strong results-orientation who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to effectively manage and develop others

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
