About the Organization
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Director of Policy and Administration (SDP+A), the Senior Manager of Administration and Human Resources (SMAHR) will implement core HR and operations functions. The SMAHR will manage MCPSA's day-to-day HR operations, including project managing internal DEI work, as well as complement MCPSA's operations functions through grants and data management support.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
- In partnership with the Executive Director and fundraising consultant, project manage MCPSA's private grants administration cycle including planning, follow up with internal stakeholders, grant and report submissions, and related documentation organization.
- In partnership with MCPSA's data consultant, project manage the Data Explorer DESE data function, including data hygiene and update tracking.
- Support the SDP+A with organizational data maintenance and implementation, including the member compensation survey, the member survey, and the staff survey.
- Support the CP+A in reviewing and negotiating agreements, contracts, leases, and other legal documents, with independent consultants as needed.
- Cross train with MCPSA's other Operations Manager to ensure redundancy for all internal operations processes.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the CP+A.
Human Resources Management
- Project manage and implement HR onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Project manage annual department and individual goal-setting, annual performance management timelines, and job description revision processes.
- Make recommendations to procure employee benefits; manage and monitor employee benefits.
- Track regulatory and legal compliance for all MCPSA HR practices and procedures.
- In partnership with the Chief of Policy + Administration (CP+A), project manage internal DEI professional development workstreams, including pulse-check administrations and data analysis and the preparation of presentation materials.
- In partnership with hiring managers, implement hiring procedures such as job postings, applicant tracking and screening, and project manage recruitment and hiring processes.
- Support the SDP+A with the development and implementation of robust recruitment processes.
- Manage and support others' use of key HR-related platforms including Trinet, Trakstar, and Workable.
- Liaise with external finance consultants on payroll inputs.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Senior Director of Policy and Administration.
You will partner closely with the Operations Manager and the Chief of Policy and Administration.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
- 3-5+ years of combined professional experience across relevant functions (operations, admin, IT and/or HR)
- A belief in the power and possibility of charter public schools and an unwavering commitment to educational equity
- Highly organized with a strong ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and, sometimes, ambiguous environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistent focus on data quality
- Robust project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously
- Strong technical orientation, with experience working across various technologies (e.g. project management software, performance management tools, applicant tracking systems)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Growth mindset, openness to feedback, and desire to grow with the team

Additional Details
MCPSA is a virtual organization, with team members working remotely. This position requires travel once a month to the organization's main office in Hudson, MA. Residence within Massachusetts, and/or within 75 miles from Hudson, is strongly preferred.
