About the Organization
About the Role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead StreetWise Partners at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Building on a strong legacy of impact, innovation, and partnership, the CEO will advance the organization's mission of economic mobility through mentorship while driving strategic growth, financial sustainability, and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will partner closely with senior leadership, staff, and key stakeholders to bring a bold vision to life, strengthening StreetWise Partners' position as a leading force in workforce development and mentorship. This leader will inspire and mobilize corporate partners, donors, volunteer mentors, and alumni to deepen engagement and expand the organization's reach and impact.
The CEO will be a visible and values-driven champion of StreetWise Partners' mission, leveraging its strong brand and trusted reputation. This is a rare opportunity for a mission-driven executive to take ownership, drive meaningful growth, and leave a lasting mark by expanding access to opportunity for thousands more individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision Setting
- Lead and execute a bold, multi-year strategy in partnership with the Board and Executive Team, assessing our current program model / competitive landscape, building on the existing strategy, and positioning StreetWise Partners for its next phase of scale and impact
- Translate vision into action, setting clear priorities, metrics, and accountability measures, while maintaining flexibility to adapt as conditions evolve
- Bring a disciplined and pragmatic approach to strategic planning, determining where to invest, streamline, or redirect efforts in response to a competitive and evolving funding environment.
- Develop a model for scalability by clearly articulating how StreetWise Partners grows its impact, revenue, and reach without compromising program quality or culture
External Leadership & Revenue Generation
- Serve as a visible, compelling champion for economic mobility and workforce equity, representing StreetWise Partners as a trusted voice and thought leader across nonprofit, corporate, and philanthropic communities
- Grow a diversified, sustainable base of contributed revenue by building authentic, long-term relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners
- Bring a strong strategic sales and partnership mindset to fundraising, understanding how to position value, steward relationships, and compete effectively for philanthropic dollars
- Leverage and scale StreetWise Partners' unique model that creates shared value by delivering life-changing outcomes for job seekers and meaningful, high-impact volunteer experiences for corporate partners
- Inspire confidence and commitment through authenticity, charisma, and clarity, mobilizing supporters to invest time, talent, and resources in the mission
Organizational Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing Executive Team, building trust quickly and unlocking the full potential of leaders, consultants, and staff across the organization
- Drive program excellence through data, evaluation, and learning, ensuring StreetWise Partners continues to deliver an exceptional experience for job seekers and volunteers
- Model a hands-on, ‘roll-up-your sleeve's leadership style, encouraging collaboration and empowering others
- Preserve and advance an organizational culture which is inextricably linked to its mission, championing equity, inclusion, and belonging across all facets of the organization
- Partner closely with a deeply engaged Board, leveraging its expertise and commitment
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated passion for StreetWise Partners' mission to drive career mobility and ensure that adults from underserved communities can develop strong professional fluency and resiliency
- Ability to balance a deep commitment to mission with a strong business mindset, believing in the power of private-sector partnerships to drive social impact
- Demonstrated experience leading bold, multi-year strategies in partnership with a Board and Executive Team, positioning the organization for scale, sustainability, and increased impact
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing strategies to achieve ambitious goals, including driving and accelerating organizational growth
- Proven ability to translate vision into execution, setting clear priorities, metrics, and accountability structures while adapting to changing conditions and constraints
- Strong strategic judgment in resource allocation, with experience making disciplined decisions about where to invest, streamline, or pivot in a competitive and evolving funding environment
- Track record as a visible external leader and revenue generator, building diversified, sustainable funding through authentic relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Experience leveraging partnership-driven models for scale, aligning mission impact with value creation for corporate, philanthropic, volunteer, and alumni stakeholders
- Proven people and organizational leader, with experience coaching senior teams, partnering closely and effectively with an engaged Board, fostering a mission-aligned, inclusive culture, and driving program excellence through data and learning
Additional Details
This role is based in the New York Tri-State area. StreetWise Partners operates in a hybrid work environment and this role entails 10-15% travel to attend funding and key programmatic meetings/sector conferences.
