Brea Smith (she/her) brings over a decade of experience in education and talent strategy to On-Ramps. As a Search Specialist, she supports the firm’s work with mission-driven organizations, contributing to inclusive, research-informed search processes and ensuring a seamless experience for clients and candidates.

In addition to her work with On-Ramps, Brea serves as a Director of Centralized Talent with Teach For America, where she leads national talent initiatives. Before joining On-Ramps, Brea partnered on executive searches for organizations across the country, including Brown University, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the Museum of the City of New York. She previously served as Senior Director of Talent Acquisition at KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools, where she oversaw recruitment strategy for a network of eight schools and 600+ staff members, and as Director of Operations at IDEA Public Schools, managing large-scale operations and staff development initiatives. Earlier in her career, she worked with the New York City Department of Education on policy and expansion initiatives and led inaugural workforce development planning in Philadelphia connecting students to diverse career opportunities across industries.

Brea holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy from New York University and a B.A. in Political Science from Franklin & Marshall College. She currently splits her time between South Jersey and Philadelphia. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cheering on the Eagles, trying new restaurants, and hiking.
