Heather Myers Barker is Deputy Research Team Lead at On Ramps, where she co-leads a team of Research Specialists and manages sourcing processes, resources and guidelines. She first joined On Ramps in 2019 as a Research Specialist and returned in 2024 to continue supporting the mission.
Before joining On Ramps, Heather built over 10 years of experience in enterprise content strategy, information design, and inbound marketing at Capital One, alongside other roles in start-up and consulting settings. She applies that background to manage inclusive, strategic sourcing practices and support the team in delivering top talent in executive search.
Heather holds a B.S. in Marketing and a Nonprofit Leadership certification from Clemson University. She lives in Richmond, VA, with her husband and twin cats. Outside of work, she enjoys trail running, making art, and expanding access to green spaces. She serves as Treasurer for a volunteer-run urban forest, helps curate films for the Richmond Environmental Film Festival, and is a Master Gardener with Virginia’s Cooperative Extension.
