Michael joined the On-Ramps team in February of 2023. As a Search Specialist, he conducts initial interviews for candidates and provides project support across several searches.
Previously, Michael worked at NPower, a national nonprofit that creates pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. Michael was the Founding Program Director of the New Jersey region, overseeing the expansion of entry level and advanced technology workforce training programs in Jersey City and Newark. Additionally, Michael served as a national liaison between field staff and data operations in creating Salesforce solutions that advanced the organization’s effectiveness. Prior to NPower, he worked at the county government level supporting justice-involved youth in rehabilitation services and the completion of their high school education.
Michael received his M.A. in Counseling from New York University and a B.A. in Criminology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He is a Lead New Jersey ’19 Fellow and a member of the Aspen Institute’s Economic Opportunity Fellows Network. Originally from Minnesota, Michael now resides in Philadelphia with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, playing soccer, and trying new restaurants.
